    To reiterate what I said at the Taylor Marsh conversation to which you link, the “some of my best friends” line fits very well with what LGBTs have been told for decades — support us, say the Dems, then go back to your corner and be quiet. Cause the political timing isn’t right; it’s too controversial, too near an election, too early in my administration, etc.
